Description

CLEAR (City Life Education and Action for Refugees) project supports asylum seekers and refugees in Southampton. CLEAR seeks to improve the quality of life of refugees and asylum seekers by providing free advice and supporting people to access local services. We believe in empowerment through education and in practical action to support the settled and developing refugee communities. EU Welcome provides information and support for arrivals in Southampton from European Union countries. We provide free, confidential and impartial information and advice on a wide range of topics – for older people and their friends, relatives or carers looking to get advice on an older person’s issue. Some of the most common things we help with include: benefits for older people - how they are calculated, how to apply and how to resolve disputes; accessing and arranging care and support including local authority assessments and funding; housing options and obtaining disability-related adaptations. We're an independent local charity and a brand partner of Age UK National.
